Matilde is one of the daughters born to House Ganza. From a young age she rejected the notion that she must become a lady and marry for influence and power, and often spurned her parents attempts to instill her with more courtly interests. Instead she spent her days evading tutors and venturing through the woods. She excelled at archery and navigating nature, and was eventually allowed to join the men of the family in their hunting trips.

As she grew older, her stubborness and temper simmered down and she began to see the merits in what her parents intended her to be. While she would never entirely please them or fit the mold of the perfect noblewoman, her relationship with her parents improved and she began to take a greater interest in helping her family manage the household.

Marriage still eludes her, and will likely continue to do so, but she remains fiercely loyal to House Ganza's interests.
