Summary

Isabella is handmaiden to Contessa Garden di Gasparo. She has arrived to Matora after voyages to the Eastern Kingdoms for a pilgrimage and return to Avicorse prior.

Personality and Quirks

Isabella is a fairly upbeat individual, one who seems to highlight the positive traits of others and shuns much of the machinations of the nobility. She attempts to serve as a moral compass to her dearest and provide a sounding board for ideas.

Her heritage of Eastern Empire shows in her features and most predominantly in her speech which has a unique accent of Avicorse with Eastern features. (Think Max from Black Sails)

Ancestry

Isabella is a third generation of Eastern Empire heritage that was displaced following incursions by the Kataro Empire into their native homeland and the conquering of the ancestral village. Her grandparents, laborers and workers, fled during the conflict along with extended family, working their way to the west over the years before settling in Southern Avicorse. They were taken in by the Aldari family to work land and mills. The Eastern Empire heritage was practiced within the family while they adapted to the western way of life as well, at home languages were spoken and traditions taught.

Childhood

Isabella was born a short time after the eldest of the Aldari family, Garden. Being one of seven children, and in the middle of the pack, Isabella's mother served as wet nurse for Garden and her own daughter. The two girls grew up together with Isabella becoming Garden's handmaiden and associate, groomed since her youngest days for the tasks.

Isabella's own education was in more traditional Eastern Empire ways. Learning the native language at home, mathematics and cultural provisions that were less common in Avicorse. This was in conjunction to her time learning the western ways which resulted in sometimes amusing conflicts.
